I'm thankful for little boys! I know I am baised, because its what I'm used to, but I have enjoyed watching RJ and Carson grow together-- they are SUCH BOYS! They run around with capes on, yelling I'm "Fatman" (RJ) and Carson lets him be "fatman", because Carson knows he's "BATMAN"--- someday, RJ will realize he says Fatman, instead of Batman, and there may be a problem!
Carson always talks about RJ-- and now has a new affection for Tyson (as he is visiting this week from Kansas). Carson also can't get enough of Kimball and Kaden... he sure loves his cousins!
I'm thankful for little baby girls! Little Mallory especially--- why... well, because we took her on our trip to Kansas and she was basically non-existant! She is the quietest baby EVER. At 5 months old--- you'd think it would be hell to drive 8 hours (which was more like 10) with her in the car.... but she was splendid. And, I have to say, I think she is partial to me as well. Granted, anyone can get that girl to smile, and Heather and Michelle do have her heart as well--- but, I like to say she likes me the most... so I'm gunna stick with it =)
Carson also loves baby Mallory. To the point where yesterday he asked me if we could "buy that baby Mallory at the store"... when I said "no, honey, shes not for sale"... he said "Amber said okay, mom, amber said I can borrow her and I can buy her for my house"....
I'm thankful for all my nieces! There is something very special about watching all these girls grow up. Haylee, for all of us, is changing before our eyes. She is her mothers child for sure, and has taken great interest in learning how to be a good mom. She is learning how to bake, and has a strong desire to cook all the time. What I like about this.... I don't ONLY have to rely on AMBER for my chocolate chip cookies---- I can call Haylee anytime, and she'll be on it. Although, itll be easier when she can drive to the store herself!
My affection for Kyra is hard to explain. Mainly because I've been right there with her from the day she was born. I remember Larry and I purchasing hers and Heathers "welcome home" gifts. I distinctly remember purchasing a "Kira" barbie doll--- that I scratched out the "i" and put a "y"... so it would match her name. And now... look at that kid.... shes 8 going on 28!
Little Miss Grace--- here's the thing... I shouldn't love her as much as I do... because everyone says shes so much like me, that it really makes it sound like I love ME so much.... but I love that girl. She has such a strong personality, and as irritating as it can be for the mother, as an Aunt... I'm so glad she's got that personality!
Courtlyn, what can I say, that child could seriously ask me to buy her a yacht with that smile, and I'd say okay! Kierstin is our little symbol of hope... that even bad situations can produce the most amazing results =) Lacey--- that kid!!! She is about as stubborn as Grace... and Grace took an extra 3 years to get there... so, we know we've got a firecracker on our hands!!!
In these pictures, we are still missing Olivia, Josie, Ellie, Maiya, Billy, Luca, and Noah.. (Well Kimball and Kaden were there, they just didnt take the pics).
I am grateful for a lot of things, I really am.... but my neices and nephews seem to bring me the most joy, and the most pride! (Obviously, outside of my immediate little family) I adore the times we get to spend together. The thing I love most about kids is that they never make you feel bad; they never point out your flaws; they never judge you by how much money you make, or how cool your car is; they never ask you to work harder; they dont care what religion you accept, or what political party you belong to.... they love you because they want to. There is definitely no comparision to the unconditional love for a child, and the love FROM a child!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
